Personal Data
- What We Collect
We may collect:
- Your name, contact details, date of birth, identification (if required);
- Payment information for booking;
- Photos and videos (for marketing, with your consent);
- Any additional info you provide for course administration purposes.
- How We Use Your Data
Data is used to:
a) Register you for workshops, manage attendance, and process payments;
b) Communicate updates, promotions, and events (if consented);
c) Comply with legal or regulatory requirements;
d) Share with third parties (e.g. SkillsFuture Singapore) as needed for funding or compliance;
e) Gather feedback and analyse trends to improve our offerings.
- Data Disclosure
We may share your personal data with:
- Third-party service providers (e.g. payment processors, venue partners);
- Government agencies/institutions for funding or compliance;
- Marketing agencies, subject to your consent.
- Consent & Withdrawal
By providing your data, you consent to its collection, use, and disclosure as described. You may withdraw consent anytime by contacting our Data Protectioin Officer. However, we may still collect or use your information where allowed or required by law.
- Access & Correction
You have the right to:
- Request access to your personal data;
- Ask for corrections or updates to ensure accuracy.
Requests can be made in writing or via email, and we aim to respond within 30 days. A reasonable fee may apply for access requests.
- Data Security
We use administrative, physical, and technical safeguards (e.g. encryption, antivirus) to secure personal data. While we strive for high security, please note no system can guarantee absolute protection.
- Data Retention
Your personal data will retained only as long as necessary for the intended purpose or required by law. Once no longer needed, data will be anonymised or securely deleted.
- Third-Party Links & Services
Our website may contain links to third-party sites (e.g. booking platforms). We are not responsible for their privacy practices - please review their policies independently.
Course Policies & Terms
- Course Withdrawal & Transfer Policy
An administrative fee of S$54.50 (inclusive of 9% GST) will be charged for each request to withdraw from, reschedule, or transfer to another course.
This administrative fee cannot be paid using SkillsFuture Credits.
Upon payment of the administrative fee, Happy Together will process the withdrawal or transfer request and refund that nett course fee received, where applicable.
All withdrawal, transfer, or rescheduling requests must be submitted in writing via email before the course commencement date. Requests submitted after the course has commenced will be assessed on a case-by-case basis and are subject to approval.
Where a refund is approved, the refundable amount will be based on the net course fee actually paid and received by Happy Together, after deducting any applicable administrative fee, payment processing fee, consumed materials, or other non-refundable charges, where applicable.
Refunds, if approved, will be processed to the original mode of payment or in accordance with the relevant payment platform’s requirements. SkillsFuture Credit, PSEA, subsidy, or grant-related payments will be subject to the applicable government or platform approval process and may not be refunded in cash.
Approved refunds will be processed within 14 working days upon receipt of all required documents and approval by management.
No refunds will be provided for:
- No-shows;
- Failure to attend the course;
- Requests submitted after course completion;
- Learners who are unable to complete the course due to personal reasons without approved supporting documents;
- Any situation where the course slot, materials, trainer, or venue resources have already been committed, unless otherwise approved by management.
Waiver of Administrative Fee
Waiver requests may be considered under special circumstances, including:
- Medical grounds;
- Compassionate grounds such as bereavement, critical illness of an immediate family member, or urgent caregiving responsibilities;
- National Service reservist obligations.
Relevant supporting documents, such as a medical certificate, official letter, SAF100, or other supporting evidence, must be submitted for review.
Approval of any waiver, refund, transfer, or rescheduling request is not guaranteed and will be assessed on a case-by-case basis at the discretion of management.
- Attendance & Assessment Policy
To maintain the integrity and quality of our programmes, the following policies apply:
- Participants are required to achieve a minimum of 75% attendance to be eligible for course completion or certification (where applicable).
- Happy Together Academy reserves to right to schedule assessments, practical evaluations, or project submissions.
- Requests for changes to assessment dates or timings will only be considered under medical or compassionate grounds with valid supporting documents.
- Assessment results are final and not subject to re-making or re-grading.
- Course materials, exercises, assignments, and assessment submission will not be returned after submission.
Reassessment Policy
Participants who do not pass the assessment may be eligible for reassessment, subject to trainer approval.
A reassessment administrative fee of S$87.20 (inclusive of 9% GST) will apply for each reassessment attempt.
The reassessment must be completed within the stipulated timeline provided by Happy Together Academy.
Participants who fail to complete or pass the reassessment within the given timeframe may not be eligible for certification or progression to subsequent modules.
No refunds will be granted in the event of assessment failure.
- Substitution Policy (Corporate Bookings Only)
Participant substitutions are only applicable for corporate or group bookings.
Requests must be submitted via email at least four (4) calendar days before the course commencement date and are subject to approval by Happy Together Academy.
- Photography & Videography
Photography and videography may be conducted during workshops, courses and events organised by Happy Together Academy.
Images and recordings may be used for:
- Marketing materials;
- Social media platforms;
- Website content;
- Promotional campaigns.
If you do not wish to appear in photographs or videos, please inform us in writing before the ocurse or event commencement.
- Amendments to Policies
Happy Together reserves the right to amend, modify, or update these policies at any time without prior notice.
Any updates will take effect immediately upon publication on our website.
